Save Corita's Studio

Corita Kent (1918–1986) was an artist, educator, and social justice advocate whose vibrant, eclectic, and powerful body of work incorporated advertising slogans, pop music, literature, and religious themes.

Her art studio at 5518 Franklin Avenue in Los Angeles is currently slated to be demolished and transformed into a parking lot, but for its historical significance, deserves a chance to be preserved.

Her work has become hugely important to me personally as a point of inspiration in its message, and the actions that brought each of the more than 800 serigraphs she produced during her lifetime into existence.

Please help support the campaign to preserve the legacy of this important artist. Information on what you can do can be found at corita.org/action.
